Juneteenth Fashion Show Returns to Legacy Hall’s Lexus Box Garden on June 15th – Dallas Weekly

The third annual Juneteenth Fashion Show will return to the Lexus Box Garden at Legacy Hall in Plano on Saturday, June 15th, to what will presumably be another sold-out show. Presented and produced by Think Three Media, this year’s Juneteenth Fashion Show is inspired by Black legends (young and old) spanning fashion, the arts, entertainment, and culture.

12 North Texas designers and brands will be featured, in what will be a vibrantly soulful and colorful extravaganza. As a new component to this year’s event, the show will honor contributions to black haircare and beauty with an inspiring showcase by award-winning haircare wellness brand NU Standard, with a special appearance by the national 2024 “Hair Educator of the Year” Keya Neal of The Kolour Kulture, and founder of Texture Vs. Race.

Returning once again will be aspiring student designers from Cedar Hill High School, with one student being presented with the first-ever Juneteenth Fashion Show $500 scholarship.

The event will be emceed by Venny Etienne (Project Runway Season 17 and award-winning fashion designer for Levenity), and media personality Lady Jade, showcasing an array of colorful designs and accessories hailing from the following designers (many award-winning) and brands, including but not limited to:

  • AND-MADE
  • One Street Sales
  • Cedar Hill High School
  • House of Dasha
  • Five Eleven Clothing
  • Jacob + John
  • Indigo 1745
  • Annia Louisa Resortwear
  • Yoma Fashion Boutique
  • Legacy West
  • Stephen Goudeau (Headlining Designer)

Additional surprises and special guest appearances will be made — like that of Miss Juneteenth DFW 2023 — but many will only be revealed on the day of the show.

“I am thankful to Legacy West and Legacy Hall for their partnership once again in helping to bring my vision to life,” said Leah Frazier, CEO of Think Three Media and Producer of the Juneteenth Fashion Show. “This is an annual show that everyone looks forward to. I am honored to continually bring this level of Black Excellence to our community. The energy is contagious — inspiring the crowd to live more beautifully, boldly and joyfully. I hope everyone can make it a point to come out and attend.”

“The Juneteenth Fashion Show [in 2023] was absolutely amazing and incredible,” said photographer Carlos Vincent in an Instagram Reel recap. “The designers were bonkers. The stylists, the whole production was crazy, crazy, crazy. There were so many amazing designers with amazing pieces. This show made the city, the state and the culture look good.”

Tickets for the Juneteenth Fashion are on sale now, and the show is slated to sell out. Specialty Juneteenth partial proceeds will benefit The National Juneteenth Museum. Tickets can be purchased at: LegacyFoodHall.com.
