Job seekers had opportunity to scout for jobs thanks to Wichita Workforce Alliance

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — Job seekers had a chance to scout for their next job on Thursday.

The Wichita Workforce Alliance hosted an aviation and advanced manufacturing job fair.

Several companies attended, including some from outside of Wichita.

One company from McPherson is looking to fill engineering positions.

“So McPherson is a huge industry community. That is what we are known for. We are an industry hub essentially, so getting people outside of that pool is key … It markets who we are. Every company is different every company has different benefits and cultures. PEM’s culture is something special,” said PEM Recruiter and Trainer Jenae Pfeiff.

There will be a job fair from 1-4 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, at the Evergy Connect building, 111 S. Ellis St. It will feature future employers like Integra Technologies and Goodwill. Click here for more details.
