Under partly blue skies and temperatures in the mid-70s with a back drop of the Black River and Lake Erie a short distance away, models walked across the Charles Berry Bascule Bridge on June 9 during the Jevon Terance Bridge the Gap fashion show.

Jevon Terance, an international fashion designer and owner of Jevon Terance Fashion Line, 625 Broadway in downtown Lorain, presented his first fashion show on the historic Charles Berry Bascule Bridge.

Terance revealed his latest collection at the event, which he has said was about bridging the gap to take chances.

All of the pieces featured in the fashion show were designed and handmade by Terance and his team.

The bascule bridge was up during parts of the fashion show, which allowed motorists on East Erie Avenue to also watch the models strut across the cement stage.

Founded in 2007 by its namesake, the Jevon Terance Fashion Line quickly has grown from a passionate hobby to a recognizable brand.

Between 2018 and 2022, Terance participated in nine fashion shows across four seasons during New York Fashion Week.

In 2015, he attended Paris Fashion Week to showcase his collection on the Champs Elysées.

Terance also has produced over 20 fashion shows.

His collection is inspired by jazz and the Jordan 17 sneaker in alignment with Terance’s 17-year anniversary, according to the release.
