Jessica Biel ‘extremely upset’ over Justin Timberlake’s DWI arrest — and he’s ‘humiliated’: report
Justin Timberlake made a “Selfish” decision that isn’t sitting right with his wife, Jessica Biel.
Sources told Us Weekly that Biel, 42, is “extremely upset” after her husband was arrested on a DWI charge Tuesday.
“She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working,” an insider said about Biel, who has been filming her upcoming Prime Video thriller series “The Better Sister” in Manhattan amid Timberlake’s legal troubles.
The source also said that Biel “was really worried” about Timberlake, 43, when she learned of the incident.
The “SexyBack” singer was busted by cops in Sag Harbor after police said he blew through a stop sign and swerved while behind the wheel. He was having dinner with friends at the American Hotel on Monday night before he got in his car and left.
A witness at the hotel told The Post that the singer was allegedly “wasted.”
However, a source for Us claimed that Timberlake told his wife that “he was barely drinking.”
“She always gives Justin the benefit of the doubt,” the insider added about Biel.
After Timberlake was pulled over by cops, he allegedly refused to take a blood alcohol test three times, and failed a field sobriety test.
He also allegedly told arresting officers he’d had just “one martini.”
Timberlake has not spoken out about his arrest, but a rep for his lawyer said in a statement that he “looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations.”
According to an Entertainment Tonight source, the father of two is “feeling remorseful, ashamed, and humiliated” over the incident.
However, the insider also claimed that Timberlake — who is facing a drunken driving charge — is feeling “accountable.”
“This situation has taken a toll on him, but he is trying to view it as a way that he can reset himself,” said the source. “He does his best to set a positive example for himself, his family and the public, and will continue to try to learn and grow. He is taking this seriously and recognizes how it can impact his family dynamic as a husband and father, and his fans too.”
According to the source, Timberlake “does not believe he needs help when it comes to alcohol” following his arrest, and looks at the incident as “a major lapse of judgment.”
Reps for Timberlake and Biel have not responded to The Post’s requests for comment.
Timberlake appeared in court the day of his arrest and was released without bail.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July 26, but he will not have to attend the procedural date.
The singer faces up to a year in Suffolk County jail if convicted of the DWI rap, though experts believe it’s more likely he’ll get off with a fine and license suspension.
