Jasmine Pineda on Starting Jazzy Fitness: “Gino Has Tried My Protein and He Approves It” (EXCLUSIVE)
“Michiganders are like family to me,” Jasmine shared. “They’re my most loyal clients and I really appreciate all their love and support.”
When Jasmine Pineda first joined the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, she was a teacher in Panama. But a lot has changed since she and her now-husband Gino Palazzolo were introduced to fans. Today, Jasmine’s job outside of 90 Day Fiancé and all of its spinoffs has more to do with fitness and less to do with the classroom.

However, that seems to be the way Jasmine prefers it, as she explained exclusively to Distractify that her business, Jazzy Fitness, has been a long time coming.
According to Jasmine, it was a “dream” she had more than 10 years before it came to fruition. And now that she is fully settled in the United States — Michigan, to be exact — Jasmine is focusing on her brand which is dedicated to healthy living.

What is Jasmine Pineda’s job outside of ’90 Day Fiancé’?
Jasmine is no stranger to a healthy diet and exercise regimen. Dedicated 90 Day Fiancé viewers might remember her pushing Gino during his final trip to Panama before her move to the U.S. when they went jogging and working out outdoors. So it probably comes as little shock to most that in January 2024, in partnership with entrepreneur Brad Turk, Jasmine launched Jazzy Fitness, a brand that features Jasmine’s exercise tips as well as her own vegan protein powder.
Jazzy Vegan Protein features eight super fruits and plant-based protein, and it comes in both vanilla and chocolate flavors. According to Jasmine, the latter is what Gino prefers, because yes, he fully supports this business venture for his wife.

“Gino has tried my protein and he approves it,” Jasmine shared with Distractify. “His favorite flavor is chocolate and he loves to mix it with his coffee every morning. My protein is not only for vegan people but for anyone who wants to get the best results.”

The idea behind Jazzy Fitness came from a place much deeper than simply releasing a vegan protein powder, though. Jasmine said that when she reached a point in her life where her “mental health was deteriorating fast,” she turned to working out to help her both mentally and emotionally.
And now, she sees Jazzy Fitness as an opportunity to help others like her.

Jasmine was a bodybuilder before she joined ’90 Day Fiancé.’
Jasmine has always been into fitness in one way or another. And before she was introduced as Gino’s fiancé-turned-wife in the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, Jasmine competed as a bodybuilder in the bikini category.
That experience alone contributed to her journey to eventually start Jazzy Fitness. Although she doesn’t compete in the circuit anymore, Jasmine still has a strong passion for “everything relating to fitness,” even outside of bodybuilding.
Jasmine’s vegan lifestyle also helped inspire her to create her brand.
Jasmine’s business is about physical fitness through exercise tips and regimens and mental health. But it’s more so about the protein powder that Jasmine wanted to create in the interest of people who are vegan and those who have a dedication and love for animals as much as she does.

“I love animals. For ethical reasons, I became vegan more than 10 years ago,” she said. “I wanted a high-quality protein that was powered by plants and free of artificial chemicals. It’s the perfect blend of pea protein isolate, brown rice, and quinoa, providing 20 grams of protein and [it’s] low in calories.”
Jasmine relies on her fellow Michigan residents for business.
While this business venture has been more than 10 years in the making for Jasmine, she is fully leaning into it now. And, she shared with us, her fellow Michigan residents are incredibly supportive.
“Michigan is my new home and Michiganders are like family to me,” Jasmine said. “They’re my most loyal clients and I really appreciate all their love and support.”
