Independence Day 2024: Here’s where to watch Fourth of July fireworks in the Piedmont Triad

(WGHP) — If Independence Day is a firework, we’re in the midst of that tell-tale whistling before the blast. You’ve only got a few days left to make sure you’re ready to celebrate the nation’s birthday with your community.

We’re listing fireworks shows and events as they’re announced, so this list will be updated daily as we get closer to the holiday.

On Thursday, July 4, Archdale’s 4th of July Festival kicks off at 5:30 p.m. at Creekside Park, food trucks and music by Walden Sound Systems will begin at 6 p.m. and the fireworks begin after dusk.

Vendors will include Menchies Frozen Yogurt, The Chill Shak, Kyle’s Concessions LLC, Sweets and Treats, S&P Lemonade, The Old 97 Kettlecorn Company, Roadway Dawgs and Grill, 4 Fosters Slushies, Sunset Slush, Luxury Brown Sweets and Treats and Knockerball, among others.

Organizers recommend that visitors bring cash.

In the event of rain, the makeup date for the fireworks is July 5.

The Fun Fourth celebration returns to downtown Greensboro on Thursday, July 4. The Freedom Run starts at 7:30 a.m. with Freedom Fest blasting off from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. The fireworks show will begin after the Greensboro Grasshoppers Game at First National Bank Field.

The Uncle Sam Jam will be held on Thursday, July 4. Gates open at 4:30 p.m. and the fireworks show will start at 9:15 p.m.

It will cost $10 for a parking pass and $20 to access the family fun zone.

On Saturday, July 13, you can listen to live music and chow down at food trucks from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. on North Fayetteville Street for the Liberty July Festival.

Join the Mebane community for their 4th of July Independence Day Celebration on Thursday, July 4 at the Mebane Arts & Community Center. Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., and fireworks are slated for 9:25 p.m.

The fireworks will be rescheduled if canceled due to bad weather.

Davie County invites you to come out to the outdoor amphitheater at Davie County Community Park for the Independence Celebration on Saturday, July 6. Festivities run from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. followed by a fireworks display.

Mount Airy’s Fourth of July Parade & Celebration features a parade at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 4.

Randleman’s “Fun Day” will be held on July 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. and includes fireworks, bounce houses, a live band and hot dogs.

There are two great opportunities to watch fireworks in Winston-Salem:

  • Thursday, July 4, at the Winston-Salem Dash game at Truist Stadium
  • Thursday, July 4, after the Carolina Disco Turkeys game at Couch Ballpark at Wake Forest University
