Her Universe Fashion Show 10th Anniversary Details Announced For SDCC

The Her Universe Fashion Show, a staple event of San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), is set to return for its celebratory 10th anniversary on Thursday, July 25, at 6 p.m. PT in the Harbor Ballroom of the Manchester Grand Hyatt Hotel. The event will once again be hosted by Ashley Eckstein, known for her role as Ahsoka in “Star Wars” and founder of Her Universe, alongside returning co-host Michael James Scott, a Broadway star renowned for his roles in “Aladdin,” “The Book of Mormon,” and “Something Rotten.” This year’s show will feature award-winning director Jeremy Merrifield, adding a fresh creative vision to the production. The event is presented by Mattel, a global leader in toy and family entertainment.

Ashley Eckstein will kick off the show with a stunning couture look, setting the stage for an evening filled with show-stopping geek couture fashion, electrifying performances, and surprising delights. “It’s truly surreal that we’re celebrating a decade of the Her Universe Fashion Show at San Diego Comic-Con,” said Eckstein. “What started as an unlikely concept—a couture fashion show at Comic-Con—has now become a sell-out event that kicks off the whole weekend! The Her Universe Fashion Show showcases the creativity of 25 talented designers who have crafted unique geek couture looks for the runway. The competition offers the ultimate prize: the opportunity to design a special fashion collection with Her Universe. Winners will be chosen by both the audience and an expert panel of judges, including the 2023 Her Universe Fashion Show winning designers Rachel Petterson and Raeven K; Robin Motts, SVP of Hot Topic Merchandising; Vivienne Medrano, Creator of Prime Video’s “Hazbin Hotel” and “Helluva Boss”; and Robert Best, VP of Barbie Product Design at Mattel.
