Gwen Stefani wishes her oldest son Kingston a very happy 18th birthday
Gwen Stefani is winding down her weekend by celebrating her oldest son Kingston, who turned 18 on Sunday, with his father Gavin Rossdale celebrating his son too.
Kingston is the oldest of the three children she shares with Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale, who she was married to from 2002 to 2015, along with Zuma, 15, and Apollo, 10.
The 54-year-old singer – who rocked a lacy look at the ACM Awards earlier in May – took to Instagram on Sunday, sharing a video collage of pics of Kingston throughout the years.
‘Happiest of birthdays Kingston my first born baby boy 🙂 cannot believe u are 18 today… i love u!’ Stefani said.
The post included a video collage set to the UB40 track Kingston Town, including videos of Stefani feeding her son baby food.
The pictures and video show him aging, including a video where he’s playing the guitar, seemingly following his parents musical footsteps.
The post also features a number of snaps with Kingston’s step-father Blake Shelton along with the rest of her kids.
The post ends with a brief video of Kingston saying he has a crystal ball that ‘tells the future,’ adding, ‘it’s really had to find.’
Kingston’s father Gavin Rossdale also shared a celebratory birthday post for Kingston on Sunday.
‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY KINGSTON -18 today and a massive step into your future,’ Rossdale began his birthday message.
‘So far the best ride of my life and i can’t wait to see where you go from here. I have total belief in you and deeply admire the man within,’ he said.
‘You have grace, charm and humility. you are at the wheel of your destiny so choose wisely,’ his famous father added.
The Bush singer added, ‘your musical talent is nuts and soon the world will hear your heart sing.’
‘Follow your muse, stay curious and keep creating. Icould not love you more than i do,’ he insisted.
‘I wish you all the happiness all the health and all the creativity. love you dad,’ Rossdale concluded.
It was revealed earlier this month that Stefani is returning as a coach for season 26 of The Voice as the cast shake-up will see two new judges and one coming back to claim their seat again.
The 54-year-old No Doubt frontwoman – whose ex husband Gavin Rossdale debuted a new girlfriend who is a dead ringer for her – was part of the new line-up shared by NBC on Monday.
Gwen will be joined by two new coaches – rapper Snoop Dogg and crooner Michael Buble – along with Reba McEntire who has been on the program since season 24.
