Gurmeet Choudhary reveals how he’s fit at 40: ‘I haven’t eaten a samosa in 14 years, never miss my workouts and diet’

Gurmeet Choudhary, known for his roles in Ramayan and Khamoshiyan, has always been a fitness enthusiast and believes ‘an unfit body means a depressed mind.’

Gurmeet Choudhary, who is known for his roles in Anand Sagar’s mythological television series Ramayan (2008) and the 2015 film Khamoshiyan, among others, recently revealed the secret behind his fitness. The actor, on May 22, took to his Instagram handle to share a shirtless photo of himself. In the caption, the Jhalak Dhikla Jaa season 5 winner revealed the kind of dedication it takes to maintain fitness and how he has given up on his favourite food for over 14 years.

Showing off his abs in photos from his gym, the 40-year-old actor wrote, “It’s been 14 years since I last ate a samosa, even though I love them! That’s the kind of dedication it takes to maintain my physique.”

He also shared how despite having a busy schedule he never misses out on his workout session. “Filming almost every day, yet never forgetting my workouts and diet. Stay focused, stay committed,” the Punar Vivaah – Zindagi Milegi Dobara actor added.

Gurmeet’s fitness post attracted his fans’ reactions. One of them wrote, “Dedication Wow!”, another user wrote, “You are one in a trillion.” “The real hero”, “Respect” read the other comments. Many of his fans simply dropped fire emojis in the actor’s comment section.

Festive offer

Gurmeet has always been a fitness enthusiast and often shares photos and videos from his workout regime. The actor in an interview with Times Of India said, “My dad was in the Army, so I moved cities and schools from Srinagar to Chennai. I was always part of NCC, and active in sports. I captained the hockey, volleyball and soccer teams while at school. I have grown to realise that anything is possible if you are fit – from wearing clothes of your choice to thinking positive. An unfit body means a depressed mind.”

Gurmeet will soon be seen in the Netflix series Yeh Kaali Kaali Aankhein, also starring Tahir Raj Bhasin, Shweta Tripathi and Aanchal Singh.
