Greeneville Water Commission Jobs Wednesday Will Affect Water And Traffic

Crews with the Greeneville Water Commission will be performing work that will affect water and traffic on Wednesday.

There will be areas with low to no water on Wednesday while crews perform repairs. The affected areas include Chapel Street, Lake Street, Park Street, and Unaka Street during the water valve repair and replacement. The work will begin around 8 AM Wednesday morning and continue until the job is completed.

Crews will also be detouring traffic on Old Stage Road coming toward Snapps Ferry Road back down North Rufe Taylor Road, toward the 11-E Bypass. Traffic coming off 11-E Bypass to North Rufe Taylor Road will be detoured at Jeff Woods Memorial Boulevard for a fire hydrant installation for Greeneville Iron & Paper. Work will start around 8 AM and will continue until the job is completed, weather permitting.
