Galaxy Z Fold 6 dummy unit shows off the boxy design

It’s not a secret that Samsung’s next flagship foldable phone will have a boxier design than all existing devices in the lineup. That’s thanks to rumors, early renders from case makers, and even leaks seemingly showing off part of the actual phone from different angles.

More evidence for the boxier design is now available through images of what is said to be a Galaxy Z Fold 6 dummy unit. The square corners make the Galaxy Z Fold 6 look more different than the Fold 5 than you would expect, and in our opinion, it’s a step in the right direction and gives the design an industrial feel similar to Samsung’s Galaxy S Ultra and Galaxy Note smartphones.

Those who want a bigger change will want to look forward to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim, though it is possible that those two models will have see considerably limited availability (the Ultra may even be Korea-only).

The Galaxy Z Fold 6 Slim may also launch a few weeks or months after the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra. Rumors say the Slim model is slated for a launch sometime in the last three months of 2024, but Samsung could offer a teaser at its Unpacked event in Paris next month.
