French Open: Aryna Sabalenka Pushed to Walk the Runway of Paris Fashion Week as Ons Jabeur and Paula Badosa Stay Loyal to BFF

Apart from the ongoing French Open, there is one more event that has been the talk of the town lately, especially among the tennis players! It is none other than Paris Fashion Week, which is all set to begin on June 8. And according to the trio of friends, Ons Jabeur, Paula Badosa, and Aryna Sabalenka, there is one player who would rock the stage there.

Amid the intense clashes at the French Open, the Tennis Channel captured a lighthearted moment during a quick interview with the ATP and WTA players. A short clip of a special interview surfaced on X, where the players had to answer the question, “Which player would you want to see walk on a runway for the Paris Fashion Week?”

While different players took different names from the tennis world, the interview also provided a glimpse of the friendship between the best friends, Ons Jabeur, Aryna Sabalenka, and Paula Badosa. 

When the same question was asked of Jabeur, she promptly answered, “I have a couple that I know would love that. Aryna, I think she would be very good at it.” Jabeur did not forget her other bestie too, as she added, “I’d say Paola as well. She would be very good at it. They’d go as twins. I would put them as twins.”

But that’s not the end. Interestingly, Aryna Sabalenka agrees with her Jabeur as well! Known for her quirky and fun interviews, the world No. 2 said “Me” when the same question was asked to her. What followed after that was a burst of laughter from the Belarusian player. But, wait, there’s more, as the next member of the best friends group, Badosa, also replied the same way!

“Myself. I would like that, of course. That would be very cool (laughs). But besides me, I think, of course, Aryna Sabalenka would be good on it,” the Spaniard declared. 

When it comes to grabbing attention on and off the court, Aryna Sabalenka knows how to do it with grace. It was about a month ago when Sabalenka provided another glimpse of her fashion sense in Rome, where she embraced flare jeans with a short jacket and shared those pictures, captioned, “Italian street style.” 

While on-court she graces her presence with Nike’s Dri-FIT Tennis uniforms, off-court, her red carpet appearances have turned heads in the tennis world. Especially when Sabalenka, a big fan of fashion, went to the Vogue World event in 2023 wearing a sparkly silver-colored gown. 

However, when it comes to Paris Fashion Week, former WTA players like Maria Sharapova and Serena Williams have already made their marks there this year. But will the tennis world see another new addition to that list? Only time will tell. Whether it happens or not, Sabalenka will continue to amuse fans with her unique fashion sense, just like she did after winning the Australian Open.

Aryna Sabalenka’s unique photoshoots after her Australian Open victories

When Aryna Sabalenka won her first Grand Slam in Australia in 2023, she was over the moon about it. But apart from her on-court achievements, off the court, the world No. 2 drew attention for her fashion statements as well. She did a photo shoot with her trophy wearing a blush-pink blouse and skirt. Sabalenka posted a series of pictures of that photoshoot on her Instagram. “I like to pose. Especially when you’re a Grand Slam champion! I think this is the best morning of my life, everything is so beautiful,” she later said in an interview.

However, the sequel to that happened this year as she extended her record to winning another trophy in the Australian Open this season. This time she posted pictures on her Instagram of herself wearing a cream-tinted white dress with a fringed base. Wearing a flat shoe with her hair open, the 26-year-old player did a photo shoot in Melbourne’s Carlton Gardens. It was the same place where she did the photoshoot last year.

Her fashion sense has always amazed her fans so far. Therefore, if it comes to showing her unique fashion taste to the world by participating in the Paris Fashion Week, Aryna Sabalenka is all in, especially when she has the support of her besties!
