Free Outdoor Fitness Returns to the Inner Harbor

BALTIMORE – The Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Medifast, presenters of Waterfront Wellness, a free outdoor fitness series, today announced the season’s return on Tuesday, May 14, and running through the end of October. Led by Baltimore-based fitness professionals, the 2024 Waterfront Wellness classes will be held six days a week across three locations on Baltimore’s waterfront – Harbor Point Plaza, West Shore Park and the Broadway Pier in Fells Point.

“We’re thrilled to unveil new classes this season, each designed to inspire and motivate the community,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of Waterfront Partnership. “This year, our mission remains steadfast: to bring the joy of fitness and the camaraderie of community to Baltimoreans all across the waterfront, all free of charge.”

The 2024 season of the Waterfront Wellness series features popular classes returning from 2023 such as Strong on the Lawn with Jessica Ceiri and Pilates with Erin Dreisbach as well as new classes such as Sunrise Yoga with Luann Carra and Run Meet Up with the Believe in the Run crew.

A robust incentive program will continue to help motivate participants to meet personal fitness goals. Participants accrue rewards after attending a class with top prizes including an Apple Watch and more.

The schedule for the 2024 Waterfront Wellness season:

o   5:30 p.m.: Strong on the Lawn with Jessica Ceiri at Harbor Point Plaza

o   5:30 p.m.: Pilates with Erin Dreisbach at Harbor Point Plaza

o   5:30 p.m.: Yoga for All with Breathing Dragon Yoga at Harbor Point Plaza

o   6:00 p.m.: Believe in the Run with the Believe in the Run crew at Broadway Pier

o   7:00 a.m.: Sunrise Yoga with Luann Carra at Broadway Pier

o   8:00 a.m.: Bootcamp with XPF Fitness at West Shore Park

o   9:00 a.m.: Dance2Fitness with XPF Fitness at West Shore Park

o   9:00 a.m.: Low Impact Fitness with Federal Hill Fitness at West Shore Park

Baltimore-based Medifast and the Waterfront Partnership hope to ignite healthy habits, from healthy motion to healthy mind, within the Baltimore community through the summer series. Medifast is the health and wellness company known for its habit-based and coach-guided lifestyle solution OPTAVIA®, which provides people with a simple, yet comprehensive approach to help them achieve lasting optimal health and wellbeing.

Participants of all skill levels are welcome and should bring their own mats, water and sneakers, if necessary. Pre-registration is required as each class will be limited to 50 participants.
