Fitness 19 in Walnut Creek closes permanently

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. (KRON) — Fitness 19 in Walnut Creek closed permanently on Wednesday, an employee confirmed to KRON4.

The gym, located at 1853 Ygnacio Valley Road, was popular for its low membership price. It officially closed at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Walmart layoffs to affect hundreds in Bay Area

Memberships at this Fitness 19 location will be transferred to a different gym — Vim + Vigor Fitness, located at 4115 Concord Blvd. in Concord, according to an email sent to members.

A gym employee declined to comment further when reached by KRON4.

Other gyms in Walnut Creek include Crunch, Planet Fitness and LifeTime. It is unknown what will replace Fitness 19 at its space in Walnut Creek.
