Feeling scene: Do you want to spotlight your fave party on Dazed?

Whether it’s a grimy warehouse rave, a subcultural orgy, or a club night with a fashion-forward clientele, we’re looking to document the scenes that matter to you across the globe

Since its inception in 1991, Dazed has assumed its place on fashion’s frontline, documenting the cutting edge of youth culture and style.

Recently, our photographers have squeezed their way through the crowds at places like Club Are, where ravers signalled their solidarity with Palestinian keffiyehs, Maricas in Barcelona, where the city’s FLINTA community celebrated queerness through their clothing, and Manchester Metropolitan University, whose fashion student’s threw an alt-Met Ball to rival Anna Wintour.

Elsewhere, we’ve captured the Y2K stylings of attendees at Namasenda’s headline London gig, documented the smoking area mutants at queer rave Boudicca, and headed to Berlin to snap the style at Lunchbox Candy’s bi-monthly Ket Gala.

Now, we’re looking for even more pitches from across the globe to capture the best dressed ravers from further afield. Whether it’s a warehouse rave in a far-flung corner of the world, the latest gig from an artist you want to champion, or a club night with a particularly well-dressed clientele, we want to hear from you.

While we’re looking for progressive parties with a fashion-forward bent – ones where style is a big part of that community coming together – this doesn’t mean we’re only looking for one type of party. Just look at the nouveau-70s style of London’s Northern Soul clubs, or the “stupid fashion bimbos” at underground rave OPIA, and you’ll see what we mean.

Runways and their designers are the bread and butter of the fashion ecosystem, and an important yardstick of what’s happening in the industry – but what’s really important to us is documenting what’s happening on the ground.

If you attend or organise parties like the ones we describe – or any we don’t – please direct your pitches to fashiontips@dazedmedia.com with the subject line FEELING SCENE, and let us know why we should feature it on Dazed Fashion. Ideally we are looking for writers and photographers immersed in the scene they are flagging to take on paid commissions, however if you are not a writer or photographer but still think your fave night should be documented, send us a tip with some details about it and we will figure out the rest.
