An Elegant Evening of Cars and Couture Fashion at LeMay — America’s Car Museum

Fashion District NW and Tacoma’s LeMay – America’s Car Museum are hosting from 6-11 p.m. on July 27 the sixth-annual Couture and Cars Fashion Show. Melanie’s Park Opens at Thea Foss Waterway

After about a year of work, Melanie Jan LaPlant Dressel Park in Tacoma opened on Thea Foss Waterway earlier this spring. The $4.6 million project is Northwest-themed and features a play area that includes a curvy metal slide that whirls down a 36-foot-high tower and a log jam play area that pays homage to the site’s industrial history.
