Fashion fans race to local supermarket to snap up lightweight dress for £10
NOW the warmer weather is finally here, many Brits will be preparing for their summer holidays.
But with the cost of living crisis still affecting people’s pockets, buying a new wardrobe for your summer holiday may be a bit tricky.
Luckily, some supermarkets are selling fashionable clothes at cheap prices – so shoppers can still get something new without spending a fortune.
One place in particular is ASDA, and many shoppers are praising the store for their “perfect” £10 dress.
The supermarket’s clothing and homeware brand George is selling their new summer range which includes a good number of colourful summer dresses.
Known for their bargain range, George at ASDA is selling clothes great for heading out to the park with the kids, or relaxing on holiday.
And there is one particular outfit which is grabbing shoppers attention.
They are selling a blue leopard print mini sundress, for only £10.
The dress, which starts at a size six and goes up to a size 28, is lightweight and flows – which avoids people from getting hot and bothered on those especially hot days.
The bold dress has a crew neckline with adjustable straps and is made in a jersey fabric.
Shoppers have given the dress an overall rating of 4.6 out of five, a 4.7 for value for money and a 4.9 for quality.
The dress can be bought from instores and online, but is selling out fast online as many sizes have gone.
One customer, who left a five-star review, said: “Love this, a really nice dress. Lovely colour and looks great on. Perfect for taking on holiday”.
A second added: “These dresses are so good and value for money”.
A third wrote: “Great fit for holiday. Lightweight and comfortable.”
How to look chic on a budget
Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger, and beauty journalist Samantha Silver revealed how you can make your outfits elevated without spending hundreds of pounds.
- Don’t ever spend on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection with fashion- forward jeans that follow the current trends”. The high street retailer offers a great range of sizes to fit UK 6 – UK 18, and three leg lengths – and prices start from an affordable £25.
- There are no rules for jewels: ”Pick up something at a car boot sale, or charity shop, scroll on Vinted & eBay, snap up something from the clothing section in your local supermarket when doing the food shop or check out high street clothing stores.”
- Don’t forget the pre-loved sites: With a rising number of second-hand sites, such as Vinted and Depop, there really is no excuse of not buying – or selling – pre-loved garments. Gemma, for instance, has managed to get her hands on chic Chanel sunnies for a mere £17.
