Essington Road Water Main Project Will Impact Your Travels

JOLIET — City of Joliet want everyone to know that starting Monday, the Essington Road water main construction will begin and that means your travel times will be impacted.

Joliet’s Public Utilities Department has begun construction on the Burr Oaks Water Main project.

As part of the next phase of construction, traffic control and safety measures will be established beginning, Monday, reducing traffic to a single lane in each direction on Essington Road from Big Timber Drive to Rosemont Drive for approximately four weeks.

“We appreciate your patience and ask that you drive slowly and cautiously through any construction zone,” Joliet’s press release noted.
