Ellen DeGeneres cancels select tour dates, including one in Chicago

Ellen DeGeneres has cancelled a handful of dates on her upcoming stand up comedy tour. A Chicago date is included in the cancellations.

According to multiple media reports including Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine, DeGeneres canceled dates in Dallas, San Francisco and Seattle.

She was scheduled to perform at the Chicago Theater on Aug 10 and Aug 11. According to Ticketmaster, the August 11 show was canceled. The August 10 show appears to still be scheduled.

On the Sunday August 11 page, Ticketmaster has a notice that says, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.” Refunds will be issued, the site said.

Ticketmaster shows the cancellations include:

• Dallas on July 10
• San Francisco on July 21
• Seattle on July 23

Like Chicago, San Francisco and Seattle show second shows that have not been canceled at this time.

Her tour began in June.
