Drew McIntyre is already back in WWE
Well, CM Punk didn’t make any announcement on Friday Night SmackDown this week about being cleared to wrestle like he teased he might. Instead, he ran down Drew McIntyre for folding under pressure and quitting WWE before running afoul of The Bloodline.
WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came to the rescue and it seemed Punk had survived his brush with the blue brand without taking any damage. Of course, the night was young and proved to be full of terrors.
Indeed, while Grayson Waller was arguing with DIY backstage, we heard someone being throw into a gate and when it was raised, we saw none other than Drew McIntyre, who quit WWE just days ago on Monday Night Raw, standing over a beaten and bloodied Punk.
He proceeded to carry him all the way out to the stage, so he could dump him off in front of the live crowd, showing them exactly what he did to their hero. SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis showed up to confront McIntyre and obscenities were shouted. Punk ended up doing a stretcher job, blood all over his face.
It was one hell of an angle.
