DOTHAN, Ala. (WDHN) – A Dothan comic book shop appears to be a total loss after a fire Saturday morning.

Crews were called to Missy’s ComiX Shop in the 1700 block of Ross Clark Circle, one of the stores part of a small outdoor shopping center in Dothan, just before 8:30 a.m. on Saturday.

When crews arrived on the scene they told WDHN that flames were shooting out of the storefront. Dothan firefighters eventually extinguished the flames, but heavy smoke was still coming out of the business.

The other businesses at the shopping center were also damaged in the fire. Police tell WDHN that it is hard to see which businesses were damaged and on fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Dothan Fire Department, stay with WDHN News as we bring you the latest developments.
