David Beckham was spotted shopping at Target in Miami. Watch soccer star get swarmed
Some multimillionaires can’t resist a bargain.
Take David Beckham, for example. The retired soccer star could shop basically anywhere he wanted in Miami, from luxury stores in the Design District to hip boutiques in South Beach.
But where was Becks spotted on Sunday? Target at the Shops at Midtown.
A fellow customer told Miami.com that the 49-year-old Brit, who has an apartment at Museum Tower nearby, was accompanied by his daughter Harper and a few of her friends.
Becks and co. were first spotted browsing the “cheeses and cold cuts” in the supermarket, reports our witness. The crew then made their way over to the clothing section, where they picked out some T-shirts.
“No one noticed them until they were outside,” says the spy.
A bystander video that appears on Only in Dade shows Beckham getting swarmed for autographs and selfies on the street. Despite being bogged down with bags of merch, the Inter Miami owner obliges, at one point signing something on a child’s back.
Commenters on the post (which also included an older clip of his buddy Leo Messi being inundated by fans outside an Aventura restaurant) were taken aback by how humble and unbothered Beckham was.
“That’s my guy doing what he does!”
“Gratitude and kindness. What more can you ask for?”
“He is the best!”
At least one critic thought the stanning was a bit much, though.
“Y’all gotta let these people live in peace.”
