Chatham County Fire Department to open job applications

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Applications open on Thursday for jobs at the newly formed Chatham County Fire Department.

The county recently took over fire services from a private company.

Officials say the department will provide 900 hours of paid training for Firefighter 1 and 2 positions and EMS certifications.

They promise excellent benefits.

The Chatham County Fire Department serves the unincorporated areas of the county, a roughly 196 square mile area.
