Chandrababu Naidu to release white papers on Jagan rule!

Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu, who was sworn in as Andhra Pradesh chief minister on Wednesday, is facing an uphill task in the implementation of his pre-election promises, which require huge money.

He knows that he cannot implement the promises, at least important of them, without arranging the money. So, he has to explain to the people why he won’t be able to do it immediately.

So, as expected, Naidu has decided to release a series of white papers, department-wise, to explain to the people the financial position of the state and how the state of affairs in each department is very bad.

This was disclosed by the chief minister in an informal meeting of his cabinet colleagues held at his Vundavalli residence in the evening.

He said the government would have to bring out white papers on each department, to tell the people how the previous Jagan Mohan Reddy government had destroyed the systems in the last five years.

Naidu gave them his piece of mind, telling them that they should study the subjects to be allotted to them thoroughly and understand the present financial status of each department.

“We have to explain to the people the state of affairs in each department and seek their cooperation,” he said.

He said it was the responsibility of the ministers to restore the systems which were totally destroyed during the Jagan Mohan Reddy regime, and rebuild the state. He asked them to coordinate with the officials and gain a grip over the systems.

Naidu also advised the ministers to be cautious in the appointment of personal secretaries, personal assistants and officers on special duty in their ministries.

“Please do not appoint the officials who had earlier worked with the ministers in the previous YSRCP government,” he said.

Naidu will assume charge as the chief minister in his chambers in the first block of the state secretariat in Amaravati at 4.41 pm on Thursday.

The first file he is going to sign will be on the file pertaining to Mega DSC, which is filling up of 13,000 teacher vacancies through district selection committees (DSC).

His second signature will be on the file pertaining to abolition of Land Titling Act, 2022, brought in by the previous YSRCP government.

He will also sign the file on enhancement of social security pension from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000, besides revival of Anna Canteens in all the districts.
