CAPK held a summer job fair at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bakersfield on Thursday
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Eager job seekers were seen at the DoubleTree Hotel in Bakersfield on Thursday.
On June 27, the Community Action Partnership of Kern hosted a summer job fair. The organization is looking to fill several positions and there was a good turnout of job seekers at the festivities.
“We have over 20 positions available. A lot of them are for our Head Start and Early Head Start positions,” said Savannah Oates, Public Relations and Advocacy Manager with CAPK. “So teachers, aides, all you need is a teaching credential permit, or a BA or AA, and then we get you set up for on-site interviews if you qualify.”
CAPK offers 19 programs that act as a safety net for people in the community. The programs include food assistance, childcare, education and homeless services.
