Cameron Brink makes a shocking fashion statement amid her recovery from a devastating injury

Cameron Brink, the Los Angeles Sparks‘ star rookie forward, was on her way to a solid first campaign in the WNBA when she suffered a season-ending knee injury in a game against the Connecticut Sun on June 18. Brink tore the ACL in her right knee and has since undergone surgery, bringing an end to a promising first year in pro basketball.

However, Brink appears to be recovering quicker than anticipated. The 6’4” forward seems to be benefitting massively from her youth (22 years old) and impressive physique as she works toward a full recovery ahead of the 2025 season. She continues to attend Sparks games in support of her teammates, and her outfit ahead of Los Angeles‘ latest game turned heads for an unexpected reason.

Brink, sans brace

In a short video upload to Instagram Stories, Brink filmed herself walking into Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles for the Sparks‘ game against the Minnesota Lynx. Dressed in a leather jacket with a blue shirt and a white skirt, Brink revealed to fans that she is no longer wearing a brace on the injured knee — and she’s returned to rocking heels.

This is undoubtedly a step forward in Brink’s recovery — less than a month after the injury and the associated procedure, she is comfortable enough to not need the protective brace on her right knee. It’s encouraging to Sparks fans that there is light at the end of the tunnel — LA is 1-6 since Brink’s season-ending injury, but that one win came against the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces.

Brink has committed to returning stronger than ever in 2025, and combined with growth from rookie scoring forward Rickea Jackson, the Sparks will be poised to make a leap up the standings next season.
