Brooklyn Center Travel Business Expands in Shingle Creek

A longtime Brooklyn Center travel business that specializes in African tours is opening a new location.

Cavalla Travel has been in the area for 15 years. Owner Jannie Seibure, a native of Liberia, said she started the travel agency for the large immigrant population in the Twin Cities.

Now, her business is expanding to its new location at Shingle Creek Crossing.

“The immigrants, especially the first generation, we don’t forget about home when we come here. We always want to keep in touch with our family. The immigrant community is huge here, so I thought ‘Let me serve my people,’” Seibure said.

The new storefront also offers luggage and travel accessories. Seibure created this model to make it a one-stop-shop resource in the community.

Cavalla Travel is located at the 6044 Shingle Creek Pkwy in the Shingle Creek Crossing shopping center.

In addition to travel services, the shop has suitcases and other travel accessories.
