‘Bridgerton’ Star Nicola Coughlan Denies Getting Some Photoshop Help

There’s no artificial anything going on with those shots of Nicola Coughlan.

The Bridgerton star, who plays Penelope Featherington on the Netflix series, is battling rumors that her waist has been “photoshopped” in stills from the show.

Coughlan spoke to People and said the period costumes on the show caused the speculation.

“I think if you wear corsetry for long enough, your body really molds to it,” she said. “Sometimes they come in a fitting for a fashion designer and they put a corset on me and I’m like, ‘Oh, you can go tight,’ and they go, ‘What do you mean?’ I’m like, ‘My body now will go whew.’”

“I saw some trolls. They were like, ‘They photoshopped your waist,’ and I was like, ‘No, they did not,’” she added.

The Bridgerton season 3 part 2 is debuting today on Netflix.
