Becky Lynch loses world title rematch, WWE future uncertain
When Becky Lynch sat down next to Lyra Valkyria backstage during Monday Night Raw in Savannah, Georgia this week, she was there to commiserate over their respective losses at King & Queen of the Ring. Sometimes you win but sometimes you lose and you learn. And you keep doing that, on and on.
“Until it’s time to walk away,” she finished, staring off thoughtfully into the distance.
This was before a scheduled main event women’s world championship rematch, in a steel cage no less, with Liv Morgan, with rumors flying about her future with WWE.
And then the match came, and once again Dominik Mysterio showed up to open the cage door so that Lynch could escape to win the match. The Judgment Day ran down, livid with Mysterio for his actions. Meanwhile, Braun Strowman showed up, ran Dom into the cage door, and it bounced right off Becky’s face.
Morgan took advantage, crawling to the door, and making her way out to retain her championship.
