April decline for Massachusetts mobile sports betting revenue
Online sports betting in Massachusetts generated US$49.4m in revenue in April, down by 15.7 per cent year-on-year.
Month-on-month, the Bay State’s figure was an improvement of 8.5 per cent on March’s $45.5m.
Online wagering revenue in April came from a handle of $591.5m, which increased marginally by 4.4 per cent year-on-year from last April’s $566.2m. Although, the latest figure, as reported by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission, fell below March’s $642.3m, a decline of 7.9 per cent.
Subsequent tax revenue in the state from mobile betting reached $9.9m, up month-on-month by 8.5 per cent from March’s $9.1m but down by 15.7 per cent from April 2023’s $11.7m.
