AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU ES Benchmarks Leak: Up To 25% Faster Multi & 17% Faster Single-Thread Performance In CPU-Z

Benchmarks of AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU in ES state have leaked out in CPU-z, showcasing up to 25% faster performance over its predecessor.

AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU Delivers Up To 25% Performance Uplift Versus Ryzen 9 8945HS In CPU-z Benchmark Leak

AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU seems to be leaking out in various benchmarks and one content maker at Bilibili, who goes by the name of Qinhuai Dream, has leaked the CPU performance of the chip within the CPU-z benchmark. The benchmark leak showcases both single and multi-threaded tests which we can compare against existing Ryzen mobile APUs in the Phoenix and Hawk families.

The AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU is part of the Ryzen AI 300 “Strix Point” family and features a 12-core and 24-thread chip that features a four Zen 5 and eight Zen 5C configuration. This chip runs at up to 5.1 GHz boost clocks, offers 36 MB of cache (24 MB L3 + 12 MB L2), & the Radeon 890M iGPU with 16 compute units or 1024 cores. So versus the previous flagship, the Ryzen 9 8945HS, you are getting 50% more cores/threads, 33.3% more compute units, and 3.12x the NPU performance which is great gen-over-gen gains.

In terms of performance, the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU which has the OPN Id “100-000000994-37_Y” scored 798.6 points in the single-core test and 8893.6 points in the multi-threaded tests within CPU-z 2.09.0. We had access to the Ryzen 9 7940HS and we can tell that this chip scored around 681 points in single-core and 7065 points in multi-core tests at its default 45W TDP inside a laptop while the Ryzen 9 8945HS scores 700 points in single-core and 7098 points with its 65W TDP mode inside a Mini PC.

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 (TBD TDP)

Core Ultra 9 185H (65W TDP)

Now it is important to know that these benchmarks of the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 APU were done with an engineering sample and at an unknown TDP. These chips scale from 15W to up to 54W and run at 28W by default. Given that this is an ASUS TUF Gaming A14 laptop which is aimed at gamers, it is likely using a TDP higher than the base configuration of 28W but it is still important to know the exact figure.

Regardless, the final chip should deliver some exceptional performance results versus the existing Ryzen 7040/8040 APUs which are based on Zen 4 cores since Zen 5 itself brings a 16% increase in IPC and there are 50% more cores on the new Ryzen AI 300 series processors.
