St. Petersburg College Human Resources will be hosting an adjunct job fair on Wednesday, June 26 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the EpiCenter,13805 58th St. N., Clearwater, to help potential candidates explore part-time teaching opportunities at campuses and centers across Pinellas County.

The job fair on creates opportunities for face-to-face connections with interested candidates. This job fair will allow SPC staff to meet candidates, assess their skills, and gauge their fit for instructional needs. Candidates will also gain knowledge on the culture of SPC, job requirements, and ways to use their experiences and background meaningfully for students. Candidates that are enthusiastic about educational experiences, student success and skill attainment are highly encouraged to attend.

SPC is located in a vibrant region that takes pride in its rich, cultural heritage. Founded in 1927, the College is Florida’s first two-year college and the first to offer bachelor’s degrees. Adjuncts are needed in multiple areas including Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Digital Media, English, Finance, History and Political Science, Science and more.

“The College of Natural Sciences is looking for experienced professionals, passionate enthusiasts, and industry experts particularly in chemistry, anatomy and physiology, and biology,” said Middleton. “The desire is to allow those who are interested in in bridging the theoretical with pragmatic, provide instruction for students who seek to further their careers. With a critical need to fill STEM focused jobs in Pinellas County we are looking for adjuncts that will help to help grow that pipeline for the future.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a current resume and unofficial copies of academic transcripts. SPC also asks that potential applicants have a bachelor’s or master’s degree and specific coursework and experience.
