A closer look into the Raiders’ 2024 home slate

The Raiders’ home opener is against a Carolina Panthers coming off a disappointing 2-15 season. This offseason, the Panthers completed a rehaul to their front office and coaching staff, hiring former Panthers linebacker Dan Morgan as their general manager and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Dave Canales as head coach.

The Panthers vigorously rounded up players to complement 2023 No. 1 pick Bryce Young, including Robert Hunt, Miles Sanders, Diontae Johnson and 2024 first-round pick Xavier Legette from South Carolina. The last time these two teams faced off was in their 2020 season opener, with the Raiders coming out on top 34-30.
