Visual timeline for when every Street Fighter 6 DLC character has released thus far

Can we determine when the rest of Season 2 might drop?

Street Fighter 6 has celebrated its first anniversary and we’re anticipating the release of its fifth additional character as M. Bison is slated to drop on June 26, and that means we’ve got a handful of data points to chart out when it comes to DLC character releases.

Like was the case in Season 1, we already know that Capcom will be releasing the next three Season 2 DLC characters in various seasons of the year. That said, it looks like we may have a particularly long wait for the second half of this second DLC group.

Street Fighter 6 dropped in June of 2023 (technically the tail end of spring) and it was roughly two months until we got our very first DLC character, Rashid, in the summer on July 24.

We waiting for just two more months until we received A.K.I. in late September 9 (fall), but then it was a whopping 5 months until we got winter addition Ed in February.

Capcom took about three months between Ed and spring DLC character Akuma, and will now be churning out their summer character in M. Bison with a super speedy turnaround of just one month.

There’s been virtually no pattern as there’s been a notably different amount of time between each release thus far, so we’re not too keen on predicting how things will shake out in Season 2 on a monthly scale, but the current average is 2.75 months between releases with 5 being the longest and 1 being the shortest.

As we examine the Season 2 DLC graphic, we note that Terry is confirmed for the fall, which will begin in the third week of September and end in late December. According to this window, the time between Bison and Terry will be anywhere from 3 to 6 months.

Terry’s fellow SNK guest, Mai Shiranui, is scheduled for winter 2025 (December 2024 – March) and then Elena is slated for the spring (March – June).

It’s worth noting that the visual order the characters appear in in the graphics doesn’t seem to represent the order they’ll be released in, as was the case in the Season 1 graphic (A.K.I. was left of Rashid).

In all likelihood Season 2 will look somewhat similar to Season 1, and if we had to we’d guess we’ll be getting Terry circa September, Mai circa February and Elena circa May.
