Justin Timberlake Gives Heartfelt Speech in First Concert After Alleged DWI Arrest

Justin Timberlake shared a heartfelt message to his fans at his first concert after being arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated in the Hamptons.

“We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights. It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now,” the singer-actor told the Chicago crowd as they erupted in cheers, according to videos shared on X (formerly Twitter).

Timberlake’s Friday tour stop at the United Center in Chicago, Illinois, was the “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” singer’s first performance since being arrested by local police in Sag Harbor, New York, early Tuesday morning. He was reportedly arraigned on one count of driving while intoxicated before being released without bail.

A law enforcement officer pulled the entertainer over and “determined that Mr. Timberlake was operating his vehicle in an intoxicated condition. Mr. Timberlake was placed under arrest, processed and held overnight for morning arraignment,” according to a police statement obtained by The Hollywood Reporter earlier this week.

The “Mirrors” artist is currently on his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, which is in support of his sixth studio album, Everything I Thought I Was. People magazine previously reported that Timberlake was planning to continue the tour following his arrest.

He concluded his speech Friday, saying, “I know sometimes I’m hard to love but you keep on loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much!”

Timberlake is also set to perform at the United Center in Chicago on Saturday before heading to Madison Square Garden in New York next week.
