Justin Timberlake brought back to NYC from the Hamptons by a driver after DWI arrest

Justin has let someone else Timberlake the wheel.

The pop star, who was arrested for DWI in the Hamptons early Tuesday morning, has headed back to NYC where his wife Jessica Biel is currently filming, a source tells Page Six.

Instead of driving himself, we hear that Timberlake had a driver bring him back after the pop star met with his lawyer following his release from police custody.

Penalties for DWI offenses including both monetary fines and license suspensions in New York, so the pop idol may need to get comfortable sitting in the sexy back.

Biel is currently in the city filming Prime Video’s upcoming thriller series, “The Better Sister.”

The “Mirrors” singer was photographed leaving the Sag Harbor Village Police Department on Tuesday morning. A source tells us he got on the road after meeting with his lawyer.

Per Page Six, Timberlake was with friends at the American Hotel on Main Street before he drove off around 12:30a.m.

Officers performed a field sobriety test on him, but he refused their request to take a breathalyzer test.

We were also told that the cop who pulled Timberlake over “was so young that he didn’t even know” who the 10-time Grammy winner was.

“He didn’t recognize him or his name,” our insider said.

A second source added, “Justin said under his breath, ‘This is going to ruin the tour.’ The cop replied, ‘What tour?’ Justin said, ‘The world tour.’”

Timberlake was taken into custody and charged with one count of driving while intoxicated and two other traffic violations: not stopping at a stop sign and failure to stay in a proper lane of travel.

A criminal complaint obtained by Page Six states that the “Friends with Benefits” actor claimed to have consumed only “one martini” at the posh Long Island hotel before following friends home.

However, police noticed he had “bloodshot and glassy eyes,” which could be seen in his mugshot, in addition to “a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage” on his breath during the investigation, according to the documents.

The office of his lawyer, Edward Burke Jr., released a statement to Page Six on Wednesday saying: “Mr Burke looks forward to vigorously defending Mr. Timberlake against these allegations,” and that the lawyer, “will have a lot to say at the appropriate time,” but was, “currently awaiting full discovery from the DA’s office.”

Burke is a prominent Hamptons attorney who has repped Matt Lauer, Lizzie Grubman, Jason Kidd and other VIP clients.

Timberlake, who is currently on tour, is schedule for a court date July 26, but we’re told he will not have to attend the procedural hearing.
