Fans Pitch In as IFBB Pro Coach Challenges 55-YO Bodybuilding Icon to Fitness Competition: “Arm Wrestling Match”

The bodybuilding community is heating up as 48-year-old Greg Doucette challenges 55-year-old Mike O’Hearn. Their ongoing rivalry recently took a new turn when Doucette publicly dared O’Hearn to a fitness competition.

The IFBB Pro Coach shared a snippet on Instagram from his YouTube channel, issuing the challenge. Accompanying the video, he wrote, “I am not in shape. I was never in shape.”  “And if you don’t believe me, I challenge you to some kind of fitness competition,” Doucette said in the snippet.

Furthermore, he suggested various fitness activities, including running, swimming, and skipping, confidently claiming he would dominate in any chosen event. The rivalry has been simmering for years, ever since O’Hearn dubbed Doucette “the Hobbit.” Recently, it flared up again after Doucette criticized O’Hearn’s muscle-gain advice. O’Hearn advocates for a 1,000-calorie surplus for muscle gain, a figure Doucette argues would lead to significant fat gain. Instead, Doucette recommends a more modest 250-calorie surplus to avoid unwanted fat.

Doucette didn’t stop there. He slammed O’Hearn for his claims of being natty. Doucette showcased his skepticism that maintaining such a physique at 55 couldn’t be done without substances like ster**ds or peptides. The Youtuber also pointed out O’Hearn’s inaccurate calculation of their age difference and clarified that he is 48, not 20 years younger than Mike O’Hearn.

According to the video shared by Doucette, O’Hearn said, “The Hobbit. He’s not in shape now. He’s 20 years younger than me.” After O’Hearn’s statement, Doucette got triggered. In the video, Doucette candidly reflects a mix of confidence and challenge in his voice and states, “I’m betting the fans would like to see our comparisons of our blood work.” In addition, he asked fans and followers in the caption, “Coach Greg vs. Mike, who you got?” And fans flooded the comments section with suggestions.

However, one suggested that they should settle it by opting for an “Armwrestling match,” a test of arm strength. Another humorous point was that Doucette challenged O’Hearn to a rope skipping contest; they found it amusing: “Bro challenged bro to a skipping contest.” A bodybuilding enthusiast remarked, “No amount of money would get Mike O’Hearn to take a drug test.” The person believed that even if someone offered a significant amount of money, Mike O’Hearn wouldn’t agree to a drug test because he claims to be all-natural.
