Perry got set on fire by Allin, still pinned Bryan to win Anarchy in the Arena

The past couple Anarchy in the Arena matches have started with musical accompaniment, namely Jon Moxley’s entrance music “Wild Thing”. But Mox wasn’t in the 2024 version, and EVPs Matthew & Nicholas Jackson weren’t crazy about fighting to Darby Allin’s theme, so they made the production team switch to their own Succession-inspired tune. Another of their opponents, Bryan Danielson, didn’t like that and called for his occasional PPV tune — Europe’s “Final Countdown”. The Young Bucks reminded us how much licensing that song costs, and the rest of Double or Nothing’s main event was music-free.

While that was going on, Matthew & Nicholas brawled around MGM Grand Garden Arena along with their Elite teammates Kazuchika Okada & Jack Perry against Allin, Danielson, and their Team AEW mates Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler of FTR.

That wasn’t the craziest Allin moment of the night, either. Dangerous Darbs got hit by a Perry-driven delivery truck, had his recently broken ankle stomped on by the Rainmaker, got powerbomb-ed onto a bunch of chairs, and finally sent down The Bucks’ entrance elevator.

But when The Scapegoat dragged AEW owner Tony Khan out of production, Allin recovered to use that flamethrower Khan drove him to Dynamite with last week to set Perry on fire.

There were plenty of other wild spots that happened up to that point, but you can see why it grabbed our attention.

That was the last we saw of Perry for a bit, but his teammates used their numbers to string Allin up in an attempt to hang him by his legs above the ring. FTR recovered to try and stop it, but were taken out by Okada’s thumbtack-loaded lariat and an exploding chair shot from The Bucks. Once they had Darby up, the Jacksons put on their new licensed Reebok Pumps — loaded with tacks too, natch — to give him a Superkick Party.

After that, Danielson recovered and hit the ring to clean house. He took out a Buck with a chair-assisted Busaiku Knee, but Okada broke up the pin that followed. Bryan then took all of The Elite’s finishers, with Perry’s knee putting him down for three.
