For the biggest discounts, I usually tell people to buy clothes that are out of season. So right now, I’d personally buy fall or winter clothing as they’ll be cheaper than spring/summer. That said, sometimes you just need new clothes ASAP. If you’re in a similar situation, check out the current REI sale. The retailer has a mix of in-season and out of season clothing and gear on sale. It includes brands like Hoka, The North Face, Patagonia, and more.

There are a lot of video game deals available this weekend, but one of my favorites comes from Amazon. When you spend $250 or more on select video games/consoles at Amazon, you’ll get an instant $25 discount in-cart. This sale is particularly helpful if you’re buying a new console. For example, get the Switch OLED for $324 after discount. Or get the PlayStation Portal ($199) and add a game or accessory to save $25.

The Best Buy Memorial Day sale went live this morning. Best Buy is one of my go-to stores for deals on Apple gear, TVs, and laptops and this year’s sale won’t disappoint. You’ve got Switch games from $9, MacBooks from $849, and smart TVs from $69. It’s worth pointing out that Best Buy used to have the lowest OLED TV prices, but now that the 48-inch LG A2 OLED TV is sold out — OLED prices start from $899 for the 42-inch LG C3 (instead of $549 for a 48-inch LG A2). Those are two wildly different TVs (the A2 was more entry-level hence the lower price), but my point is that if you want a budget OLED — the 42-inch C3 is where it’s at these days. Make sure to check out our roundup of the best deals at Best Buy this weekend.

Looking to score an Apple Watch this Memorial Day? Then you’ll want to check out this excellent Amazon deal. The Apple Watch SE 2022 (GPS/40mm) is down to $189 at Amazon, that’s a $60 saving off its full retail price of $249.

In our Apple Watch SE 2022 review, we called it the best Apple Watch value you’ll find and praised its powerful processor, Crash Detection capability and watchOS 9 upgrades. It’s the perfect Apple Watch for newcomers to the smartwatch world.

Here’s another massive sale on apparel that you can shop before the Memorial Day weekend. Amazon is running a huge Skechers sale with deals starting from just $17 and discounts currently available across a whole load of styles and sizes.

The deal our experts recommend most is the Skechers Women’s Go Run Lite Sneakers on sale for $59 at Amazon. They made our list of the best Skechers due to their lightweight construction, breathable mesh and energetic, responsive internal cushioning.

Lululemon’s “We Made Too Much” section is a great place to score some awesome gear, at a discounted price. And the popular apparel retailer has just restocked its inventory ahead of the long Memorial Day weekend.

Current highlights include training and yoga gear starting at just $9 at Lululemon and the best-selling Align leggings from $39. There’s also the Scuba Oversized Hoodie for $89 at Lululemon. Plus, you can get the Align Asymmetrical Bra Light Support for $29. These won’t stick around long, so check out the full range now.

Memorial Day wouldn’t be complete with a sale on Amazon hardware and right now there are dozens of Alexa-powered devices on sale from $19. The deals are generally good if you need to replace a broken item, but remember that Prime Day deals aren’t that far off. While Amazon hasn’t confirmed a date yet, we know it’ll happen sometime in July, which means you’ll find cheaper Amazon devices deals come July. My advice — if you can afford to wait, hold off till July. If you need a new device ASAP, check out their current sale below.

Memorial Day sales

Happy Friday, everyone! The holiday weekend is just hours away, but before you check out for the day, there are some Memorial Day sales you need to be aware of. Memorial Day is the first major retail holiday of the year, dwarfing previous sales like Presidents’ Day and even the Amazon Big Spring Sale (sorry, Amazon). In fact, most of this weekend’s sales won’t resurface till late summer when Labor Day approaches. So if you’ve been looking to buy a new TV, mattress, or laptop — this is the weekend to do it. Practically every sale is already live, so we’re rounding up the best discounts you can right now, so that you can enjoy your long weekend without having to log back on.
