Speaking of transeasonal, we’re also eyeing up denim jackets, and the best can almost always be found on pre-loved sites. Then there’s the cult T-shirt everyone is talking about from Loewe – surely a sign of the logo tee’s return?

If we had to pick a print of the season, it would be stripes, which have been adorning everything from dresses to skirts, T-shirts to socks. Mango’s elegant midi is currently leading the way for summer with its offbeat, asymmetric appeal – layer over trousers now, then add chunky sandals and gold jewellery when the mercury rises.

Channel your inner Audrey Hepburn circa 1954 with a pair of Capri pants. Mango’s belted pair are a more forgiving alternative to the skin-tight legging styles circulating right now, and will look suitably timeless with a pair of point-toe kitten heels and a white tank top. Speaking of timeless, we came across the perfect pre-loved Gucci raffia bag this week, which lends itself perfectly to the summer months.

If you want to invest in the kilt trend, may we suggest you buy second-hand? There are countless options on Etsy and eBay, rendered in a variety of feel-good hues. Case in point: this yellow and black number, which feels so very McQueen. This week’s new brand discovery, meanwhile, is Auralee, a Japanese label that knows a thing or two about perfectly executed basics. This mohair-blend knit is at the top of our wishlist.

Everyone might be talking about knee-length skirts this season, but we still have a soft spot for the minimalist maxi. The Frankie Shop brings out its Malvo skirt every year, and it remains a firm Vogue favourite. For 2024, style it with a track jacket, a monochrome top-handle tote and mesh ballet pumps.

Add a little zing to your spring with Whistles’s new collection; we can count the zesty, lime-green Kori dress as one of our five-a-day, right? Elsewhere, we have Burberry’s latest reworking of its classic trench coat, as envisioned by Daniel Lee. With its dropped waistline and super-wide belt, it was one of the standout moments from the brand’s spring/summer 2024 runway.

We are spoilt for choice when it comes to polished flats this season, and GH Bass’s Mary-Jane loafer is the latest style to catch our eye, thanks to its buckle detail and conker-like shine. For dress lovers, meanwhile, Doên never fails to deliver, and this season is no different. The Mallory dress in black and white gingham is a chic alternative to spring florals.

Heard of Pellador FC? If you haven’t, you should remedy this immediately. Hailing from Limerick, this cool label offers knitwear and sportswear inspired by Ireland’s design and sporting history. In other news, Paris Texas has dropped an exclusive capsule with Net-a-Porter, and it couldn’t be better timing with our current obsession with all things Western (thank you, Beyoncé).

A denim midi-skirt is just what the doctor ordered for the changeable (read: truly wild) weather we’re experiencing right now: just add sparkly flats now then swap in chunky sandals come summer. Camilla & Marc is also delivering on the spring dressing front with its Kiena raincoat – staying dry never looked so chic.

Buckled details seem to be cropping up a lot this season, on everything from trousers and dresses to coats.
