Former USC star found passed out in Rolls-Royce, arrested for DUI: CHP
Former USC wide receiver and current Minnesota Viking Jordan Addison faces a DUI charge after authorities said he was found asleep behind the wheel of a car near Los Angeles International Airport.
California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched to the westbound 105 Freeway ramp to North Sepulveda Boulevard shortly after 11 p.m. Friday on a report of a vehicle blocking lanes, CHP confirmed to the National Football League.
Officers found Addison, 22, asleep behind the wheel of a white Rolls-Royce, CHP said. He was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, booked and released from custody around 1:30 a.m.
Addison played one season at USC after transferring from the University of Pittsburgh. He caught eight touchdown passes for 875 yards, earning him All-Pac-12 First-Team honors.
Addison was selected No. 23 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft by the Vikings. He had 70 receptions for 911 receiving yards and ten touchdowns in his rookie season.
“We are aware of Jordan Addison’s arrest this past Friday and are currently gathering more information regarding the incident,” the Vikings said in a statement.
According to NFL.com, this is the second consecutive offseason Addison has encountered a legal issue on the road. In July 2023, the Minnesota State Patrol cited him for speeding and reckless driving for going 140 mph in a 55 mph zone.
