Hancock Town Library hosts travel talk
Hancock Town Library, 25 Main St., will host “Adventure Travels and Adventure Books” with John Kerrick Wednesday, July 10, at 7 p.m.
The library’s summer reading program this year is “Adventure Begins At Your Library.” In his youth, Kerrick began reading adventure books such as “The Worst Journey in the World” and “The White Spider,” and in his adult life he has traveled around the world as a skier, cyclist, mountaineer, paddler, sailor and hiker. He will share a few of those travels and some of the books that have inspired and/or accompanied those travels. He will offer a few lists of notable adventure books, and is willing to be a resource for people interested in adventure travel.
The presentation is free and open to all.
