‘Blade Runner 2099’: Dimitri Abold, Lewis Gribben, Katelyn Rose Downey & Daniel Rigby Join Michelle Yeoh & Hunter Schafer In Prime Video Sci-Fi Series

The cast of Blade Runner 2099 is coming together.

Dimitri Abold (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes) and Lewis Gribben (Somewhere Boy) are joining stars Michelle Yeoh and Hunter Schafer on the Alcon Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios action-thriller as series regulars.

Katelyn Rose Downey (The Nun II), Daniel Rigby (Renegade Nell), Johnny Harris (A Gentleman in Moscow”), Amy Lennox (Only Child), Sheila Atim (The Woman King) and Matthew Needham (House of the Dragon) join as recurring guest stars.

No character details have been revealed, but production has begun in Prague and will switch to Barcelona at a later date.

Silka Luisa is showrunner and executive producer along with Ridley Scott, Alcon Entertainment co-founders Andrew Kosove and Broderick Johnson, Alcon’s President of Television Ben Roberts, David W. Zucker and Clayton Krueger from Scott Free Productions, Tom Spezialy, Richard Sharkey, Michael Green, Cynthia Yorkin, Frank Giustra, and Isa Dick Hackett. Steven Johnson is Co-EP. Shōgun‘s Jonathan van Tulleken will direct the first two episodes.

The show marks Alcon’s first TV series in the Blade Runner universe since it acquired film, television and ancillary rights to produce prequels and sequels to the 1982 science-fiction thriller Blade Runner in 2011. Since then, it has financed and produced Blade Runner 2049.

Gribben is represented by Alice Coles at The Artists Partnership, Ruth Hollyman at Strange Town, UK and lawyer Michael Auerbach; Downey by Clarissa Efthymiades and Nicki van Gelder at Conway van Gelder Grant; Rigby by Alexander Cooke at Hamilton Hodell; Lennox by Greg Herst at Conway VG; and Needham by Curtis Brown Group.
