The PennDOT Workers’ Memorial, which honors the 90 PennDOT employees who have been killed in the line of duty since 1970, was on display at the event.

The state Department of Transportation partnered with state police, the Highway Safety Network and Cumberland Valley Volunteer Firemen’s Association to promote safe driving during the summer season with a safety day event Friday at the Welcome Center along Interstate 79 near Mt. Morris.
