Steam has just released details of the most played games on the Steam Deck and Elden Ring has leapfrogged 7 of its rivals to get the top spot.

Elden Ring is now the most-played game on Steam Deck, most likely due to the arrival of the recently released DLC, Shadow of The Erdtree. The DLC was launched on the 21st of June, 2024, and quickly saw thousands of players rejoin the action – with SteamDB highlighting over 400,000 players currently in-game.

Elden Ring tops Steam Deck charts

The news of Elden Ring’s rise to “most played game on Steam Deck” came to us from Steam’s new chart list, which gives us more insight into what Steam Deck players are playing. The chart can be found on the main store page and highlights the top 100 games and the main movers for that month. Users also have the option to select past week, past month, and past year timeframes.

Historically, Steam would announce the top 20 games via an X post near the end of the month.

Despite the game showcasing a rise to the top of the Steam Deck charts – the DLC hasn’t seen the game reach a new all-time peak – which was set 2 years ago and still stands at an impressive 953,426.
