9 Award-Winning Games Drop to Historically Low Prices For Steam Summer Sale

Steam users are currently able to grab Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, and many other award-winning games at historically low prices. The steep discounts on these acclaimed titles are all part of the still-ongoing Steam Summer Sale 2024.

The annual promotion started on June 27 and is set to conclude on July 11. The event will round off the six big Steam sales that Valve planned out for the first half of 2024.

Among hundreds of deals introduced as part of the promo, five award-winning games have been treated to unprecedented discounts; Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Lies of P, Forza Horizon 4, Frostpunk, and Baldur’s Gate 3 are hence all currently available at their lowest-ever prices. 11 Bit Studios’ survival city-builder Frostpunk is the cheapest of that lot, being temporarily priced at just $2.99, or $10.65 for those wanting to grab its content-complete Game of the Year Edition.

Steam Summer Sale 2024 Award-Winning Game Deals

Racing fans who haven’t yet played Forza Horizon 4 certainly shouldn’t sleep on it, and not just due to its immense critical acclaim and widespread fan adoration. Namely, Steam Summer Sale 2024 is expected to be one of the last opportunities to grab the game without breaking the bank, as Microsoft recently announced plans to delist it on December 15 due to its expiring vehicle and music licensing agreements whose renewal it no longer considers worthwhile. That decision also prompted the company to give away Forza Horizon 4 to some Xbox Game Pass members back in June 2024.

Four other award-winning games have also dropped to historically low prices as part of Steam Summer Sale 2024. That list includes Cyberpunk 2077, Red Dead Redemption 2, the 2018 God of War soft reboot, and the Grammy Award-winning Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Insomniac’s inaugural Spider-Man game and God of War are both content-complete packages, much like Baldur’s Gate 3. Meanwhile, the other half a dozen award-winning titles that have been discounted as part of the ongoing sale all have additional DLC and some sort of more expensive complete editions.

Steam Summer Sale 2024 has so far introduced hundreds of other deals, including some extremely deep discounts on Sid Meier’s Civilization 6, Battlefield 5, Total War: Shogun 2, and Batman: Arkham Knight, all of which are currently available at at least 90% off. Ditto for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Disco Elysium, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, Assetto Corsa, and Arma 3, among dozens of other critically acclaimed titles.
