5-star 2025 CB Dijon Lee commits to Alabama football
Kalen DeBoer’s strong first full recruiting class as Alabama football’s head coach got another boost on Friday. Cornerback Dijon Lee committed to the Crimson Tide, joining the 2025 class.
Lee, a five-star prospect according to the 247Sports composite, plays his high school football at Mission Viejo in California. He chose Alabama over a host of suitors that included Texas and Georgia.
Lee announced the news from Mission Viejo, streaming live from his Instagram account.
“Can smother an opposing receiver at the line of scrimmage and is very good in press coverage,” 247Sports national recruiting analyst Greg Biggins wrote in his scouting report of Lee. “Has good feet and change of direction for a tall corner and is rarely beaten over the top. Can get in and out of his breaks and gets his hands on a lot of balls. Is physical in run support and isn’t afraid to get downhill and lay a big hit on a running back. Is a smart, heady player as well.”
Lee finished his junior year at Mission Viejo with 55 tackles, 22 of them solo. He also chipped in with two interceptions and 13 pass breakups.
The 6-foot-4, 190-pound Lee is listed as the No. 4 2025 corner nationally on the 247 composite. The service rates him as the top player in the class from California, 22nd in the nation.
Lee became the 20th commitment in Alabama’s 2025 class. He’s the second pledge at cornerback, joining four-star Chuck McDonald, also from California.
He became the second five-star player in the class according to the 247 composite rankings. Linebacker Darrell “Duke” Johnson, was the first.
